Fire & Rescue
From the Desk of Fire Chief Ryan Gray
Thank you for visiting the City of Columbus Fire Department’s webpage. I hope you find it as a valuable resource. It is my pleasure to represent the men and women who make the Columbus Fire Department.
The Columbus Fire Department is an “all-hazards” department that proudly serves the City of Columbus and surrounding areas by providing fire suppression, advanced life support emergency medical services, and hazardous materials and technical rescue responses. Our department consists of career personnel belonging to the International Association of Firefighters Local 1575, and paid reserve personnel who provide supplemental responses in support of the department’s mission.
Columbus Fire Department is committed to providing the citizens and visitors of the City of Columbus with the best service possible by holding ourselves to the highest standards. As the leader of our organization, you can expect a highly dedicated public servant who will ensure our department is equipped and prepared to continuously meet the public safety needs of our community.
I will strive for transparency and to provide a means to all citizens to have open lines of communication with the fire department. The fire department will have an open-door policy at our firehouse and welcomes any visitors. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime with any questions using my contact information provided on this page.
It is a pleasure to serve our community as Fire Chief. I am excited for the future of the Columbus Fire Department and the City of Columbus!
